Although we really love pets, you will have a much better experience at
Mattole Camp, if you leave your pet(s) at home. Mattole Camp will not be
responsible for your pet(s), or liability for any injury or damage incurred by
your pet(s). So PLEASE NO PETS!

Seldom Inn sleeps 10-12 includes small kitchen $35.00. Old lodge $35.00 In addition $20.00 per person per day. Lodge sleeps 18. Cabins sleep a total of 36.

Your reservation is not complete and is not guaranteed until your check and insurance information is received. Refund of reservation fees can only be returned if notice is given 30 days in advance of arrival time. Fees are non-transferable. Remaining balance is due no later than two weeks before your event. Check-in is at 2:00 p.m. and departure time is at 12:00 noon.

Groups are responsible for maintaining the buildings and grounds in good condition and must leave the area clean and in good repair. The facilities will be inspected prior to arrival and again on departure. The contact person must be the last person to leave the camp.
All garbage and refuse must be removed by groups. There is a disposal site located between the camp and Petrolia. The site is open Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
Users are required to read the equipment and maintenance manual before using the kitchen and grounds equipment. This manual is located in the Tan Oak Lodge kitchen.
All Tan Oak Lodge tables, chairs or other furniture may not be moved out of the lodge. Please do not staple, tape or tack anything to the walls or window.
Use of building is restricted to those listed in your contract.
There is no smoking allowed in any of our buildings. Please make sure all cigarettes are picked up off the ground.
In order to preserve our mattresses, all mattresses must remain inside.
Dogs (other than guide dogs) and other pets are not permitted.
Please note fire drill and earthquake procedures as posted in dining room and cabins.
The property around Mattole Camp and Retreat Center is private. Please stay on our property.
Mattole Camp and Retreat Center does not provide any lifeguard service. Users are required to provide their own supervision during swimming activities. Mattole Camp and Retreat Center does not maintain the river and cannot be held responsible for natural conditions encountered during use. Use of river is at the user's own risk.
Check Out Procedures - Before checking out, arrangements must be made with camp director to inspect grounds and buildings. If any insufficiencies in repair or cleanliness exist and are left in an unsatisfactory condition, the management of Mattole Camp will have the work completed and will deduct the charge from the cleaning deposit - any charges will be billed to you. Again, the contact person must be the last to leave the camp.
You must sign out with director to receive a refund of your $100.00 cleaning deposit.
Mattole Camp and Retreat Center does not provide medical insurance to campers or others using or working at the camp.
No workers compensation insurance is provided for individuals and groups working at the camp.
Our insurance carrier, Preferred Risk Mutual, has required that we implement a policy of requiring Certificates of Insurance from all outside groups contracting to use our facilities. Therefore:
A Certificate of Insurance shall be provided prior to using the facilities at Mattole Camp and Retreat Center.
Such certificate shall provide a minimum liability lime of $1,000,000 each occurrence/aggregate.
Such certificate shall name Mattole Camp and the Presbytery of the Redwoods as an Additional Insured during the use of the facilities. It is understood and agreed that the Additional Named Insured shall not be responsible for premium payments, reporting of claims, and other duties of the named insured.
The Certificate of Insurance shall be mailed to Mattole Camp and Retreat Center, 36841 Mattole Road, Petrolia, CA 95558, ten days prior to the reservation date.
